Important Recommendations:
- Once you have declared into CalTeach review & sign the CalTeach Student Handbook for student participation expectations & important program details.
- Continue to check with your Primary Major Academic Advisor regarding your primary degree completion progress early & often.
- Be aware and on top of all of the CTC credential requirements, deadlines & paperwork.
- Be sure to continue to consult the 4-year Sample Plan for your Major. It is important to follow the recommended course sequences because many required courses may not be offered or available in other quarters. Not following the plan could extend your graduation date!
- Remember, it is highly recommended to complete all, or most, of your primary major course requirements BEFORE your final year of student teaching (see Major 4-year Sample Plans linked above).
- Be sure to update your academic plan with any changes to your schedule, including any required repeated coursework as needed, making sure you will still be able to graduate on time.
- Set an appointment with Financial Aid to ensure you will have enough financing available to complete your degree, or to make alternate financing plans.
- Learn about CalTeach’s expense reimbursement opportunities.
